Free tiers shrink, prices move and plans get renamed. Each entry is dated to when the change took effect or was announced (the entry says which) and links to the vendor’s own notice.

.com wholesale fee rises to $10.97
Verisign announced on 2026-04-23 that the .com wholesale fee rises from $10.26 to $10.97 effective 2026-11-01. Cloudflare Registrar charges the registry price plus ICANN fee with no markup, so its .com price ($10.46 before) follows the new fee.

.com price to rise to about $11.81
Porkbun's knowledge base says its .com price will rise on 2026-11-01 at 04:00 UTC to approximately $11.81, from $11.08, after Verisign's wholesale increase (effective date).

Price increase on 226 Identity Digital extensions
Namecheap announced higher registration, renewal and transfer prices on 226 Identity Digital TLDs effective 2026-10-06; for example .email renewal goes from $40.98 to $45.98 (effective date).

Cockroach Continuum replaces Basic, Standard and Advanced for new organisations
Effective 2026-09-15: new cloud organisations get Standard ($0.092/vCPU-hr in us-east-1) and Mission Critical ($0.162/vCPU-hr) editions and a 30-day, $400 trial; the new pricing page lists no free Basic plan. Existing customers keep their plans.

New Amazon SES accounts default to the Essentials plan
From July 21, 2026 (effective date), new SES accounts and account-region pairs with no SES use since June 1, 2025 start on the Essentials plan at $0.16 per 1,000 emails instead of a la carte pricing at $0.10 per 1,000; customers can switch to a la carte at any time.

Honeycomb reprices Pro plan tiers
Effective 2026-07-01: new Pro tiers bundle Time Series Metrics and AI features at $3.00 per million events (legacy $1.30), with four tiers up to 750M events; legacy customers keep their plan until 2026-12-31.

ZeptoMail pricing update for new sign-ups
Zoho's pricing page announces updated ZeptoMail pricing for new sign-ups from July 1, 2026 (effective date). The long-standing rate was $2.50 per credit of 10,000 emails; the new rate was not shown on the page when checked on 2026-09-28.

Bunny DNS drops query fees and becomes free
Announced 2026-06-24: Bunny DNS no longer charges for queries and hosts up to 500 domains per account free, including smart records and health monitoring; the account-wide $1/month minimum still applies.

MailerLite renames plans and updates prices and limits
Effective date. Growing Business became Comfort and Advanced became Power, and MailerLite says prices and limits were updated at the same time, so sources using the old names are out of date. Comfort now starts at $12/mo and Power at $25/mo for 500 subscribers.

Second 2026 Hetzner increase hits CPX and CCX plans
Effective 15 June 2026 for new orders and resizes, CX and CAX plans rose about 30% to 38% (CX23 €3.99 to €5.49) while CPX and CCX plans rose about 2x to 2.7x (CPX22 €7.99 to €19.49, CCX13 €15.99 to €42.99). Existing servers keep their price until rescaled.

Oracle halves Always Free Ampere A1 allowance
Around 15 June 2026 Oracle updated its documentation to cut the Always Free Ampere A1 allowance from 3,000 OCPU hours and 18,000 GB hours (4 OCPUs, 24 GB RAM) to 1,500 and 9,000 (2 OCPUs, 12 GB RAM), without a public announcement.

Render replaces per-seat plans with flat workspace plans and cuts included bandwidth
Announced and effective for new workspaces 23 April 2026 (legacy workspaces moved on 1 August 2026): Pro is $25/month flat (was Professional at $19 per member), Scale $499 (was Organization at $29 per member). Included bandwidth fell from 100 GB to 5 GB on Hobby and from 500 GB to 25 GB on Pro, with overage now $0.15/GB instead of 100 GB blocks.

Hetzner raises cloud prices for all servers
Effective 1 April 2026 (announced in February), Hetzner raised cloud and dedicated prices by roughly 30% or more for new and existing servers; the CX23 went from €2.99 to €3.99 a month.

Zeabur shuts its usage-billed shared cluster to new projects
New projects on the shared cluster were disabled on 15 March 2026 and new services on 1 April 2026; apps now run on fixed-price dedicated servers. Zeabur's two free clusters became paid shared clusters requiring a Developer plan from 15 March.

Price increases on 29 TLDs
EuroDNS raised prices on 29 extensions between 2026-03-01 and April 2026, starting with .pt (€40) on March 1 and .ai (€140) on March 5, then .biz, .club, .vip and others on April 1 (first effective date).

Free projects pause after 7 idle days
Announced 2026-02-20: free projects with no development activity for 7 days in a row are paused automatically; data is kept and projects can be reactivated.

Mailchimp halves its free plan limits
Effective date (announced to customers in January 2026). The Free Marketing plan went from 500 contacts, 1,000 sends a month and 500 a day to 250 contacts, 500 sends a month and 250 a day; free accounts above 250 contacts had sending paused until they archived contacts or upgraded.

Grafana Kubernetes Monitoring drops telemetry credits for new plans
Plans started after 2026-02-13 are billed only on active host and container hours with no telemetry credits; plans started between 2024-09-17 and 2026-02-13 keep their credits.

Auth0 Free plan gains an enterprise connection, SCIM and self-service SSO
Announced 2026-02-12: the Free plan now includes one enterprise SSO connection, SCIM and self-service SSO, which previously required paid plans; paid B2B plans gain a la carte add-ons for extra connections, Enterprise MFA and M2M tokens.

Heroku moves to sustaining engineering and stops selling Enterprise contracts
Announced 6 Feb 2026: Heroku will focus on stability and security rather than new features, and Enterprise Account contracts are no longer offered to new customers. Credit-card pricing and billing are unchanged.

Clerk raises free tier to 50,000 retained users, new plans
Announced 2026-02-05: free users per app go from 10,000 to 50,000 monthly retained users, unlimited apps on every plan, MFA moves into Pro and the Enhanced Authentication add-on is dropped. Enterprise connections become metered, 4+ dashboard seats and SOC 2/HIPAA artifacts now need Business.

M2/M5 and Serverless retired
Effective: Atlas stopped supporting M2/M5 and Serverless; M2/M5 clusters were migrated to Flex, and Serverless instances to Free, Flex or Dedicated depending on usage.

Droplets move to per-second billing
Effective 1 January 2026, Droplets are billed per second with a minimum charge of 60 seconds or $0.01, replacing hourly billing. Monthly caps still apply.

Cognito legacy-price upgrade window to Essentials closes
Existing Cognito customers could move user pools to the new Essentials tier at the old user-pool price only until 30 November 2025 (end date stated on the pricing page); after that Essentials is billed at its list price of $0.015 per MAU above the 10,000 free.

CloudFront adds flat-rate plans with no overages
Announced 2025-11-18: alongside pay-as-you-go, CloudFront distributions can use Free ($0), Pro ($15), Business ($200) or Premium ($1,000) monthly plans bundling WAF, DDoS protection, Route 53 DNS, logs and S3 credits with no overage charges.

Effective 2025-11-14 (announced 2025-10-30): a single-node PS-5 Postgres at $5/mo became available; before, the entry point was a 3-node cluster at $30/mo. Development branches dropped from $10 to $5/mo.

Fly.io lets legacy Hobby plans convert to pay-as-you-go immediately
Announced 10 Nov 2025: legacy Hobby orgs can switch to pay-as-you-go at once instead of at the next billing period; converting ends the legacy free allowances (3 small VMs, 3 GB volumes). New orgs have had no free allowance since plans were discontinued on 7 Oct 2024.

Fastly moves self-serve accounts to a new free tier and usage pricing
Effective 2025-11-04 for new sign-ups: new pricing with a free tier (card required) and usage-based rates; online paid accounts created earlier keep legacy pricing of $50/month plus usage.

Netlify cuts Pro monthly credits from 5,000 to 3,000
Pro credits dropped from 5,000 to 3,000 a month from the next billing cycle, while extra-credit packs got cheaper (Pro: 1,500 for $10, was 1,000 for $20; Personal: 500 for $5, was 200). Date approximate: the changelog gives Pro sign-ups before 1 October a 2,000-credit bonus in their October cycle.

Netlify moves new accounts to credit-based plans
Effective 4 Sept 2025 (announced the same day), new accounts get Free (300 credits/month, hard limit), Personal ($9, 1,000 credits) and Pro ($20, 5,000 credits, up from $19). Existing Free, Starter and Pro accounts became legacy plans with no forced change.

Effective 2025-09-01 (announced 2025-08-08): Pro went from $15 to $25/mo, per-seat pricing became per-project ($15 per extra project), and included bandwidth rose from 300 GB to 2 TB.

Announced 2025-08-05, effective 2025-09-01: Shield plans got request allowances (Basic 25M, Advanced 50M, new Business plan at $99 with 250M) with overage of $0.60 to $0.70 per million clean requests.

Effective 2025-08-27: Team and Business base quotas gained 5 GB of logs, while included spans fell from 10M to 5M; base prices ($29 Team, $89 Business monthly) were unchanged and reserved span tiers rose $8/$16 a month.

Postmark Pro and Platform features available at 10,000 emails
Announced and effective August 6, 2025: Pro and Platform features (inbound, more users and streams) became available at the 10,000-email level for $16.50 and $18 a month, instead of requiring larger plans previously priced at $60.50 and $138. Basic stayed at $15.

AWS Free Tier moves to credits for new accounts
Effective 2025-07-15: new AWS accounts get $100 in credits (up to $100 more) and a time-limited free plan instead of 12 months of 750 free micro-instance hours; older accounts keep the legacy free tier.

Announced May 27, 2025: existing Free Email API and Free Marketing Campaigns plans kept full access for 60 days, after which sending paused unless the account upgraded to a paid plan (Essentials from $19.95/mo).

SigNoz Cloud Teams minimum cut from $199 to $49
Announced 2025-05-20: the Teams plan base fee dropped from $199 to $49 a month, still including that amount of usage; per-GB and per-sample rates were unchanged.

Higher throughput and request limits on all plans
Announced: maximum throughput rose from 1k to 10k requests a second, maximum request size from 1 MB to 10 MB and maximum connections from 1k to 10k, on Free, Pay as You Go and Fixed plans.

Bunny Shield WAF launches with a free Basic plan

New SendGrid accounts get a 60-day trial instead of a free plan
From March 25, 2025 (effective date), new Twilio SendGrid accounts start on a 60-day trial limited to 100 emails a day, after which sending stops unless a paid Email API plan is chosen.

Effective 2025-03-12: the free tier moved from 10K commands a day to 500K commands a month, and new fixed-price plans were added.

Klaviyo enforces profile-based plan compliance
Effective date. Card-paying customers must be on an email plan that covers their active profile count, with automatic upgrades at the next billing cycle; optional flexible sending and auto-downgrade billing preferences were added.

bunny.net free trial switches from 1 TB to trial credit
Announced 2025-02-12: the 14-day trial with a 1 TB traffic cap was replaced by $20 of trial credit (no card) or $50 with a linked card, usable across all products for 14 days.

Flex clusters replace M2/M5 and Serverless
From February 2025 (month only; no day given): new M2/M5 shared clusters and Serverless instances can no longer be created; Flex (from $0.011/hr, $8 to $30/mo) replaces them.

Buttondown makes automations and API cheaper
Announcement date. Automations became available to anyone paying at least $29/mo (previously $79/mo), and API access became available on every plan (previously $9/mo).
