Overview
Nuxt UI is a Vue component library built on Reka UI for accessibility, Tailwind CSS v4 for styling and Tailwind Variants for its variant and theming system. It offers 125+ components covering forms, overlays, navigation, data tables and higher-level page and dashboard building blocks, plus prose components for Nuxt Content.
Nuxt UI v4 was released on 23 September 2025. Following NuxtLabs joining Vercel in July 2025, it unified Nuxt UI and the previously paid Nuxt UI Pro into one free @nuxt/ui package, released the Figma kit for free and opened all templates (starter, landing, docs, SaaS, dashboard, chat, portfolio, changelog). Pro users migrate by swapping @nuxt/ui-pro for @nuxt/ui and renaming the uiPro config key.
Despite the name, Nuxt is optional: Vite and Vue plugins make it work in plain Vue projects, including Inertia and Laravel or Adonis setups, with some Nuxt-specific features such as auto-imports needing extra configuration. It integrates Iconify icons, color mode and i18n in 50+ languages.
