Overview
Wasabi sells a single hot storage tier with an S3- and IAM-compatible API at one flat price in every region: $7.99 per TB per month on pay-as-you-go since 1 July 2026, up from $6.99. There are no charges for egress, ingress or API requests, which makes the bill easy to predict: capacity times price.
The catches are in the minimums. You pay for at least 1 TB each month even if you store less, so the effective floor is $7.99 a month. Objects deleted before they are 90 days old are still billed for the rest of the 90 days. For a small web app with a few gigabytes of uploads, that makes Wasabi more expensive than R2 or B2.
Free egress is governed by a fair-use policy: if your monthly downloads exceed the amount you store, your use case is 'not a good fit' and Wasabi may limit or suspend service. It is designed for storing data you read occasionally, such as backups, surveillance footage and media archives, rather than serving a busy public site.
Reserved Capacity Storage lets larger customers prepay capacity for 1, 3 or 5 years at a discount. Wasabi integrates with many backup products (Veeam, Acronis and others) and offers immutability and SSO.
