Overview

SigNoz is one of the most popular open-source observability platforms, built from the start on OpenTelemetry. APM dashboards show latency percentiles, error rates, Apdex, database and external calls per service; traces open as flame graphs with up to a million spans; logs are searched in a columnar store and linked to traces; and metrics support PromQL and ClickHouse SQL. Exceptions, alerts, infrastructure and Kubernetes views, messaging-queue monitoring and LLM monitoring are included.

You can run the Community Edition yourself at no licence cost, which suits teams with the skills to operate ClickHouse. SigNoz Cloud removes that work: the Teams plan starts at $49 a month, includes that much usage, and then bills per GB of logs and traces and per million metric samples, with no per-user or per-host pricing.

Cloud data centres are in the US, EU and India. Enterprise customers can choose a dedicated environment, have SigNoz manage it in their own cloud, or get a support contract for self-hosting.

The Teams plan minimum is shown as $49/month with $199 struck through, meaning the entry price was lowered. Usage above $49 is billed at $0.30/GB for traces and logs and $0.10 per million metric samples; logs default to 15-day retention and longer retention costs more. Ingestion limits can be set to avoid surprise bills. A startup programme exists for companies under 3 years old, under 30 staff and under $6M raised. SSO/SAML is cloud-only.
