Overview
Zeabur started as a Taiwan-based PaaS with a shared Kubernetes cluster billed by usage. In 2026 it changed model: from 15 March 2026 new projects cannot be created on the shared cluster, and from 1 April existing shared projects cannot add services. Instead, you deploy onto a dedicated server, either one you rent through Zeabur from a partner cloud at a fixed monthly price or a machine you already own. Managed three-node clusters are offered for high availability.
On top of the server, Zeabur provides the platform: its agent reads your code and plans the build, deploys from Git or ready-made templates, handles domains, DNS and SSL, and adds monitoring, backups and an email service. The Free plan lets you manage one server; Dev ($5) and Pro ($19) add more servers, longer log retention, backups and AI agent quotas; Team ($79) adds seats and roles.
The approach lets you pick cheap providers such as Hetzner or premium ones such as AWS, but you should compare the total of plan plus server against managed PaaS offers, and note the platform's recent changes.

What it does
- Zeabur Agent
- AI agent that detects language and framework and plans builds (zbplan); advanced-model quota depends on plan.
- Server marketplace
- Rent servers from AWS, GCP, Hetzner, Linode, DigitalOcean and others at a fixed monthly price, fully managed by Zeabur.
- Bring your own host
- Register servers you already own and manage them from the dashboard.
- Templates
- One-click templates for apps, bots and databases.
- Domains and email
- Buy domains, manage DNS with automatic SSL, and send transactional email.
- Managed clusters
- Three-node clusters in 10 regions for workloads that need failover.
Strengths and limitations
Strengths
- Choice of underlying cloud provider and region.
- Fixed monthly server prices instead of usage bills.
- Low plan fees, including a free dashboard tier.
- Strong coverage of Asian regions through Tencent, Aliyun and Volcengine.
Limitations
- The shared, usage-billed cluster is closed to new projects, so every app needs a server.
- Plan fees and server fees are separate, which complicates comparisons.
- Log retention on the Free plan is only 48 hours.
- The platform changed its model in 2026, so check current terms before committing.
Who it suits

- Developers who want PaaS workflows on a fixed-price VPS
- Apps serving users in Asia
- Running several small services and databases on one server
Look elsewhere if
- Apps that need to scale to zero or bill by usage
- Teams wanting a long-stable platform model
