Overview
Resend is an email API aimed at application developers. You send through REST, SMTP or SDKs, and you can write templates as React components with its React Email library. Inbound email, batch sending, webhooks, open and link tracking, and DKIM/SPF/DMARC setup are included on every plan, including Free.
The Free plan gives 3,000 emails a month but caps sending at 100 a day, which is fine for a side project but not for a launch-day spike. Pro starts at $20 for 50,000 emails and removes the daily cap. Scale starts at $90 for 100,000 emails and is the tier that unlocks dedicated IPs, SSO and 1,000 domains; for the same 100,000 emails, Pro costs $35, so move to Scale for features, not volume.
Marketing broadcasts are a separate subscription priced by contacts, with unlimited sends to those contacts. Automations include 10,000 runs a month on every plan.
Resend publishes SOC 2 Type II and GDPR compliance. Enterprise plans above 3 million emails a month add a 99.99% uptime SLA and flexible data retention.
