Overview

OVHcloud is a French cloud and hosting company that builds its own servers and runs data centers in Europe, North America and Asia-Pacific. Its VPS 2027 range has four plans, from VPS-1 (2 vCores, 4 GB RAM, 40 GB NVMe) to VPS-4 (8 vCores, 24 GB RAM, 200 GB NVMe).

Every plan includes unlimited traffic (the port speed rises from 500 Mbps to 3 Gbps by plan), a dedicated IPv4 plus IPv6, an automatic daily backup of the previous 24 hours, anti-DDoS mitigation, a KVM console and a 99.9% SLA. Resources can be upgraded in one click without migrating data, when capacity is available in the same data center.

The main draw is RAM and traffic per dollar together with European ownership: OVHcloud says data sits in GDPR-compliant data centers protected from extraterritorial laws like the CLOUD Act. The console and ordering flow are busier than developer-focused clouds, and extras such as Plesk, cPanel, snapshots and premium backups are paid add-ons.
