Overview
Infomaniak is an independent Swiss company that designs and runs its own data centers in Switzerland and contributes to OpenStack and Debian. It offers two VPS products: VPS Lite, fixed low-cost configurations, and VPS Cloud, a flexible server on its OpenStack cloud.
VPS Lite starts at CHF 2.70 a month for 1 vCPU, 2 GB RAM and 20 GB disk, with Linux or Windows. It has 500 Mbit/s bandwidth, no availability guarantee, no snapshots, and resources that can only be increased. VPS Cloud starts at CHF 38.41 a month and adds 10 Gb/s networking, unlimited traffic, one included snapshot, resizing in both directions and a contractual 99.99% SLA on AMD EPYC and NVMe hardware.
Both are unmanaged, with DDoS protection through Arbor Networks and a built-in firewall. Support staff are based in Geneva and Zurich and answer seven days a week. Data stays in Switzerland, which is outside the EU but covered by Swiss data protection law.
