Overview
Hexclave, previously called Stack Auth, is an open-source platform for user-facing building blocks in SaaS apps: authentication, teams, role-based access control, payments, emails, analytics, webhooks, API keys and secure data vaults. Authentication covers email and social login, magic links, passkeys, custom branding and custom OIDC providers.
It is fully self-hostable: the server is licensed AGPLv3 and client SDKs are MIT, with commercial licences for teams that cannot use AGPL. It can import users from Clerk, Auth0, Firebase Auth and Supabase Auth without forcing password resets.
Hosted pricing is flat and based on total user accounts. Free covers 10,000 users with one dashboard admin and 1,000 emails a month. Team is $49 a month for 50,000 users, four admins and 25,000 emails, and Growth is $299 a month for unlimited users with an SLA. Extra admins are $29 a month each. Because inactive accounts count, delete stale accounts or budget for the next tier.
